“The Galactic Squad”…those words evoked excitement and adventure in the hearts of a generation of kids in the early 1950′s. With its incredible special effects of space ships and other worlds, Galactic Squad was the greatest thing since Buck Rogers. One of the best things about the show, according to parents, was the “TEAM” that worked together to thwart evil doers throughout the galaxy and protect the earth.

Galactic Squad is an exciting space age adventure serial popular in the early 1950’s. It was a low budget and cutting edge science fiction action series that exploded in popularity during the Golden Age of Television. Galactic Squad inspired the careers of directors and producers like George Lucas, Steven Spielberg and  Gene Roddenberry. It was the spark and catalyst for many future television shows like Battlestar Galactica and Space 1999.
